The Master Stylist and photographer, Olie G has been in the beauty business for over 30 years. The man known as Olie G, or the renaissance man because of his limitless abilities, creativity and vast knowledge.Born in Manhattan, New York in 1959 and afterwards moved to Florida when less than a year old.Olie was reared by his Cuban parents who migrated over to the United States in 1954 prior to Fidel Castro's take over. At the age of 16, Olie went to see the movie Shampoo staring Warren Beatty and at that moment decided that this was a career for him. A straight man, surrounded by women all day, everyday, what could be better than that he said, "There must be a GOD"
Olie graduated from barber college where he developed his precision cutting skills. Later on that year he became one of the youngest master hairstylist of that time in Florida. Afterwards he went on to Cosmetology school. Later, Olie G studied under great legends such as Paul Mitchel, Toni & Guy, Horst Rechelbacher (Aveda), Sam Brocato, Irvine Rusk and John English to name a few. As a competitive martial artist Olie studied Tae Kwon Do, Shure Ru Okinawan karate, Aikido, Kali, Escrima, Ninjitsu and some Bushido.Some of his other hobbies at the time were scuba diving, flying planes,dancing,dating more dating and staying in peak shape. Photography became a major part of his life entwined with his busy hair schedule. For approximately ten years he photographed models for print work, calenders, billboards, etc. Olie used his creative photographic skills to exhibit his and his co-workers artistry throughout the years. Today he is an established location/travel and stock photographer.After many years and relationships, Olie finally met his lovely wife Tammi a performing arts dance instructor whom which he settled down with and had his wonderful son Sean Christopher. Though he loves the hair industry, Olie is an avid entrepreneur, who is a licensed Real Estate Broker, Eco Broker, Personal Security Specialist, Certified Anti-Terrorist Officer and also previously owned his own adventure gear outfitters business. Today he finds passion and relaxation in ascending high mountain tops, rappelling off of frozen waterfalls, playing native American flutes, photography or just spending time with his family. Olie's outdoor achievements have earned him certifications in glacier travel, crevasse rescue and vertical ice climbing. One of Olie's favorite place to be is in northern New Mexico and southern Colorado where he owns several investment properties.
